CHARACTERISTICS

FITOKONTROL is a phytostrengthener whose formula includes natural organic acids and citrus derivates, mainly ascorbic acid and Vitamin C.

Organic acids cause temporary physiological changes that activate plants metabolism generating a higher plants biomass, that appears as a higher yield or production and a wider response to environmental conditions.

Moreover, it has a against pathogens action causing their cellular membranes acidification and reducing, as a result, their growth and their infectious action.

Ascorbic acid, together with acids, hydrolizes and breaks polyssacharids in phytopathogenic  fungus cellular walls inhibiting this way their growth.

Ascorbic acid is, mainly, a great antioxidant that captures electrons and stabilizes free radicals which cause proteins , lipids and DNA molecules inactivation. The reaction with these molecules causes  cellular damages.

It is one of the most important antioxidant external defences together with vitamins A and E, carotenoids and flavonoids.
